About us

The Pro-Form Architects Ltd UK was formed in Manchester UK in 2006 by Mr Jing Wu, who has been qualified as an ARB/RIBA architect since 2003.

Mr Jing Wu has been practicing architecture in China as the managing director and principal architect of the Shanghai Pro-Form Architectural Designing Consultants Co Ltd (SHPFA) since 2007 in association with Prof Fangji Wang, and has completed an extensive portfolio covering from residential, retail, office to hospitality project.

Starting from 2014, Mr Jing Wu moved to Manchester to set up Pro-Form UK studio, working on design and research on projects in both UK and China.

Mr Jing Wu has also been qualified as a Grade One Chinese Registered Architect since 1998 and registered in Beijing in 2004.

Before setting up the Pro-Form, Mr Jing Wu had worked with the Peddle Thorp Architects (Asia) Shenzhen Office as Vice Design Supervisor and as the Chief Architect/Director in its Shanghai office from 2003 to 2006. From 2000 to 2003, Mr Wu had worked with the Faulkner-Browns Architects and Urban Planners in the UK as a RIBA Part III Architectural Assistant, and with the O’Riordan Staehli Architects in Ireland as a Design Architect. 

From 1993 to 1998, Jing worked in the Chinese Institute of Architectural Design and Research, a Chinese leading design institute.
